Vocal Yoga for professional and passionate singers

You might sometimes feel that you have to do it all alone...
You try to make everyone happy by listening to all the feedback you received during auditions, that you have no idea anymore which your true sound is.
You tried already so many routines and you think you are not the right person to have routines. Actually you hate them.
You thought you have to listen to all the feedback...
and try to change all they said it needs to be fixed. But by doing this you came even more far away from your truth, from respecting yourself as person and artist. You find yourself far away from the idea you had of this job.
And if you are a young singer...
I know that suddenly you feel the nerves. The pressure is there. You want to do it all and immediately and possibly perfect. Maybe you start to feel tense and to have difficulties to control your breath and thoughts in stressful situations.
You want to reach that goal. They said you have to do it all before your thirties to arrive there. But what is "there"? Do you actually what to arrive there? Is there something to reach or are you just loosing the connection to yourself, your body and voice, by searching something outside of you, mostly coping the path of other singers?
The truth is: it's amazing to reach goals, but you can't reach them by living and performing in auto pilot. You can by taking care of yourself, being present, being aware.
Singing is a business. Singers are high level athletes: and a business can only grow as much as your body allows. If your body and your voice are always tired, you don't sleep enough, you don't integrate the experience you do on stage, you don't embrace the emptiness of an “after production” or of a period without jobs, you don't allow the adrenaline to flow away, you don't solve that neck pain or acid reflux... how can you actually think this job is sustainable on the long run?
There is a sustainable way to do this job, and for this we need not only the help of the entire singing business - in need of a big change - but it requires also our active decision to dedicate part of our journey to other aspects than business and singing technique.
You can be present and aware of yourself, your body, your mind and enjoy your performance. Have tools to deal with performances, traveling, success, delusions, perfectionism.
Plus you can have a community to not feel alone anymore.
Since years I guide singers on their sustainable voice journey. My SingYoga community is the place we share, where we explore all these topics while taking of our body, breath, resonance, and voice. Fascia release exercises and a series of asanas are used along with primal voice work that specifically target the unique muscles of the voice, from the feet to the vocal tract. Our purpose is to experience a flexible body, to release our authentic voice and deepen our resonances, so that we experience that "the whole body sings!”
